The 2nd Model Indian Parliamentary Session'14 is presented to the youth of the nation by the esteemed NKP SALVE FOUNDATION. We are deeply indebted to the foundation and Mr. Harish Salve for the generous support and the faith reposed in us.

The NKP Salve Foundation is named after someone revered by multitudes of his countrymen as the preserver of the Cricket Craze, the reverence for Mr Narendra Kumar Salve has grown with the lapse of time and the accumulation of respect. The Former Union Minister and President of The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) from 1982 to 1985, , hardly needs any introduction, He is the one responsible for bringing the Cricket World Cup to the Indian subcontinent in the year 1987. He remained a member of the Lok Sabha from Betul and that of the Rajya Sabha from Maharashtra state for four consecutive terms, and was the Former Chairman of the Privileges Committee of the Lok Sabha from 1975 to 1977.The NKP Salve Challenger Trophy is an Indian cricket tournament organized by the Board of Control for Cricket in India. Named after Mr. NKP Salve, this Challenger Trophy is played with the purpose of providing opportunities for younger players to make an impression.As a student Salve took part in the freedom struggle and though a Chartered Accountant by profession, he played cricket in the Nagpur club in his early years, was the President of Vidarbha Cricket Association and in 1982 he went on to became the President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), a post he held till 1985. It was during his tenure that India won the 1983 Cricket World Cup. He managed to get joint hosting right for the 1987 Cricket World Cup for India and Pakistan. In 1983, he also became the first elected chairman of the Asian Cricket Council.Salve was an advocate for the separate statehood of Vidarbha, and was one of the prime initiators of the Vidarbha Movement. It is an Honour for us, the Rotaract Club of Government Law College to be associated with N.K.P Salve Foundation.

Rotary Club of Bombay Central, chartered on 28th May 1974 belongs to the eminent Rotary International - A World Wide Movement of over 1.3 million members in more than 169 countries all over the world.

The Club is one of the Premier clubs out of 124 clubs in Rotary District 3140. The club, having a strength of 172 members, has been doing yeomen service for the community in its last 36 years of existence. The club has the distinction of giving 3 District Governors to Dist. 3140 - RTN. PDG PRABHAKAR Store in 1985-86, Late RTN. PDG JAGDISH KHANNA in 1987-88 and RTN.PDG RAMESH KHANNA in 1995-96.
